Start bright
The opening plates lean crisp, fresh and awake: snacks, vegetable-led flavours and sharp notes that bring everyone to the table. They are a way to begin sharing without locking the meal into a fixed course or a fixed pace.
The bistro menu
Flop And Char Coal is a contemporary bistro built around charcoal cooking, bright produce, warming plates and choices made to pass across the table. Come for an unhurried meal, gather friends for a lively evening, or let dinner set the pace before an optional next chapter inside the restaurant.
Offline only The Card Room is an optional, physical in-person experience inside the restaurant.
How the menu moves
Start with a little colour and crunch, find the warmth of the grill, then give the conversation enough room to carry on.
The opening plates lean crisp, fresh and awake: snacks, vegetable-led flavours and sharp notes that bring everyone to the table. They are a way to begin sharing without locking the meal into a fixed course or a fixed pace.
Then come the coals. Smoke, char and warmth give the centre of the meal its depth, with generous plates designed to travel from hand to hand. Build the middle around what feels right for your group.
Final plates are for slowing down rather than hurrying away. A sweet finish, a warm bite and the changing rhythm of conversation can keep a table together as the evening opens up around the restaurant.
From the grill and across the pass
These descriptions are a guide to the bistro’s food direction rather than a fixed live inventory. Expect contrast, texture and plates that make sense together on the table.
A thoughtful finish is part of the invitation to stay.
For the whole table
The menu makes room for lighter plates, charcoal depth, sides and dessert in whatever combination suits the group. Couples, friends and colleagues can begin small, build a spread, or settle into a longer shared meal without making the table feel like it has to choose one way of dining.
Vegetable-forward
Vegetable-led plates have a real place in the menu’s rhythm, bringing colour and contrast alongside the fire. If you have dietary questions, ask the team directly before your visit.
Your pace
Approach the menu as a quick set of plates or allow it to become a longer meal. The choice is about the appetite and pace of your own table.

Food editorial
Planning dinner before a physical poker night? Think easy-to-share, low-fuss plates that keep a social table comfortable. This is a guide to dish styles, not a promised live menu listing, and it is about food alongside in-person poker inside the restaurant—not gambling.
Start with a plate that wakes up the table. Freshness and crunch are easy to pass, easy to return to, and give conversation a lively first rhythm.
A little smoke and warmth brings the grill in early without taking over. These are the sort of plates that invite a shared reach across the timber.
Bring a fresh vegetable direction into the spread for colour and balance. It gives richer, warming choices a brighter companion at the centre of the table.
When the table is ready to settle in, a charcoal-led centrepiece carries the meal forward. It feels generous, savoury and naturally made for passing.
Choose a side with crisp edges or roast warmth to sit alongside the centrepiece. Texture keeps a shared spread interesting from one conversation to the next.
Every fire-led table benefits from a plate that cuts through and resets the palate. It keeps the middle of dinner feeling open rather than heavy.
As the evening develops, choose something warm that guests can return to without fuss. Comfort works best here when it stays social and easygoing.
A lighter plate can shift the pace without ending it. It gives the table breathing room while everyone remains settled in the shared meal.
Finish dinner with a dessert built around contrast and sharing. It closes the meal well without asking the table to rush away from the conversation.
One last warm plate can extend a good table naturally. Moving to the Card Room afterwards is optional, entirely in person, and always part of the restaurant setting.
Dinner before the Card Room
Dinner can be the first chapter of a night at Flop And Char Coal. After a bistro meal, guests may choose to visit the dedicated physical Card Room: a stylish card lounge and poker salon inside the restaurant, with real tables and face-to-face company. Attendance is always in person.
Offline only
Offline poker happens around physical poker tables in the Card Room and card lounge. There are no online games, online gambling or sportsbooks here—just a social room inside the restaurant.
Venue programme
The venue programme can include Texas Hold’em tournaments, a poker event and poker night formats as social physical entertainment. See what’s on for current programming.
Whether you are new to the room or simply enjoy its high roller table mood, ask the team about the format. Play is chips only, social and non-monetary, with no cash winnings or values.
Offline only
All poker at Flop And Char Coal is strictly offline poker: in-person poker inside the restaurant, around physical tables, using chips only. It is a social extension of a night out, not a remote or financial activity.
No online gambling, online accounts or remote play are involved. There is no betting, no sportsbooks, no deposits and no withdrawals. There are no cash winnings and no monetary values attached to the poker experience. The focus stays on face-to-face hospitality, physical chips and the shared atmosphere of the Card Room.
Plan your night
Make food the whole plan, add an optional visit to the physical Card Room, or check the current programme with the team before you arrive.
Make the bistro meal the destination, whether the plan is a short catch-up or a longer shared table. Start with what the group feels like eating and let the room take care of the rest.
